Dave and Phil were discussing the plans for the back garden when Scruffy came running around the corner towards them, tripping over a small rock. He fell sprawling onto the ground in front of them.
“What’s up, what are you doing?” asked Phil.
“It’s that shed, there’s sumit in there,” spluttered Scruffy as he picked himself up off the ground.
“What do you mean, there’s something in there?” asked Phil.
“That shed, there’s sumit in there! I went to put the tools in and sumit barked and jumped at the door. Probably that’s what knocked me over with the door,” continued Scruffy, very animated.
“You’re saying my shed attacked you,” laughed Dave.
“That shed’s the same as your head, nothing in it,” said Phil, tapping on his own head. Phil turned to Dave. “He’s a good lad and a hard worker, but boy, is he clumsy, he can trip over his own shadow.”
“Well, I’m not going near it again,” declared Scruffy, pointing towards the back of the house.
